Quetta, April 23, 2025. The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) has postponed the intermediate examinations, originally scheduled to begin on Tuesday, due to unavoidable circumstances. The decision has sparked student concerns regarding potential delays in medical college admissions for the upcoming session.
The inter exam has been deferred for three weeks, as per the statement from the BBIS chairman. Sources close to the matter revealed that the postponement follows a teacher boycott announcement, which has disrupted the examination process. The board is expected to release a revised exam schedule soon to accommodate the delay.
Meanwhile, students have expressed frustration over the decision, citing concerns that the three-week postponement could jeopardize their admission timelines for medical colleges and other higher education institutions. The delay has raised questions about the board’s preparedness and its impact on students academic futures.
This development comes amid recent chaos in Karachi, where a scuffle at the Matric Board office erupted over attempts to change examination centers during the annual Matric exams. The altercation led to broken glass panels and injuries to the Exams Controller, Zaheeruddin Bhutto. The clash reportedly began when school representatives demanded alterations to exam centers, escalating into a physical confrontation with board staff.
The Balochistan Board has urged students and stakeholders to stay updated through official channels for further announcements regarding the rescheduled intermediate exams.
